An individual, personalized crossword on canvas is a fantastic way to mark a special occasion such as a wedding, an anniversary, a significant birthday or a retirement, though the possibilities are endless. It will make a unique gift for a friend or loved one, or for yourself (we all deserve a treat now and then).
Assuming it is a gift for a loved one or colleague, we will work with you to build a list of words relevant to him or her. You can supply us with a list of 10-12 words that you definitely want to be incorporated in the crossword. If you can also supply a list of that person’s activities and interests such as tramping, quilting, crosswords etc we can try to ensure that the filler words in the crossword are as relevant as possible. We will send you a list of the words before we go to print to ensure you are completely satisfied with our choice. The cost of a bespoke crossword is $480NZ (no GST)
For a small additional charge we will produce a set of personalized crossword clues and a numbered grid that the recipient can solve. The clues can be written at one of three levels of difficulty so that, whoever the recipient, he or she can solve the clues without too much difficulty, while still enjoying the challenge (more details here). The clues and grid are supplied as an A5 folded card that can be slotted into a greetings card of your choice. The card is supplied in an envelope and can be slipped inside the greetings card of your choice. The canvas itself is wrapped in bubble-wrap and shipped in corrugated cardboard to prevent damage.
